*As Always, with any NEW Movie or Show - please always check ratings before viewing with your family - especially if you have any young viewers in the room. I feel pretty safe in recommending Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies, however, please always check - just in case! Most of their Movies tell you at the beginning that the movie is safe for all audiences. I liked that additional feature this year - very nice!

Hallmark Channel starts the Holiday Season!!!

I hope you all enjoyed watching the two new Hallmark Christmas Movies over the weekend! I am looking forward to each weekend now during Christmastime - and all the new Spectacular Christmas Movies ahead!!! Our family certainly enjoyed watching them and I sure hope yours did, too!

I was pleasantly surprised with Love's Christmas Journey. There was a tragic loss in the beginning of the movie, (two people died in a Tornado), and some western gun violence, but through it all it was a wholesome, mostly uplifting, fun, and joyous four-hour film! Mistletoe over Manhattan - I didn't get to see all of this movie on Sunday night (busy with family!) - but what I did see, looked sweet and fun! I look forward to seeing how it ends up! (Did you see it / like it?)

Also, it was Open House weekend at Hallmark Stores, too! I visited mine on Thursday - before the rush! (Did I miss any good give-aways over the weekend?) I just wanted to check out the ornaments, again mostly - and make sure I could EWWW and AWWW -before they were all gone!

You can also see the Hallmark Christmas Ornaments Online.

There are Lots of pretty ones this year, again. And, how cute are the Prep and Landing Dolls - of Lanny and Wayne! They are sooooo adorable.... "So Tinsel!", as Lanny says! By the way, I just added the new Prep & Landing Cartoon, titled "Prep & Landing: Naughty Vs. Nice" (airing Dec. 5th & 22nd) and other Christmas Cartoons airing on ABC to the Christmas TV Schedule . (Thank you, Bobby, for the ABC schedule information!)

I just Love the Christmas Season and all the fun decorations! Most of all, however, I am content in the joy of knowing the True Meaning of Christmas ~ the birth of the Christ Child and the Promise that brings to each of us who receives!

God bless you all!!!

"Love's Christmas Journey" - will be a FOUR HOUR Movie Event!!!

This Newest Movie in the "Love Comes Softly Saga" ~
...follows the last movie in the series- Love Finds a Home.
It will be a Four Hour Movie this time - so be sure to set your recorders accordingly!

"Love's Christmas Journey" stars Natalie Hall, Greg Vaughan, Sean Astin, JoBeth Williams, Charles Shaughnessy, and one of my favorites, Ernest Borgnine! (Mr. Borgnine portrayed the wonderful character of Marty, in the movie "Marty", and he also was the Grandfather in "A Grandpa for Christmas"! I love those Movies!)

Please Note: before reading the press release below... It gives away quite a bit of the story and I know some people do not like to know all the details before watching a movie. So, if you want to be completely surprised,  please do not read any further on this post. Instead, click on my Love's Christmas Journey page for more pictures, cast details, etc...!

---------HALLMARK CHANNEL PRESS RELEASE---------

‘LOVE’S CHRISTMAS JOURNEY,’

A HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE EVENT WORLD PREMIERE NOVEMBER 5

Four-Hour Movie Event Inspired By Janette Oke’s Book Series Love Comes Softly

Natalie Hall (“All My Children”) and Greg Vaughan (“General Hospital”) star with Academy Award® nominee Sean Astin (“Kangaroo Court,” “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy), Academy Award® and three-time Emmy® Award nominee JoBeth Williams (“On Hope,” “Frasier”), Emmy® Award winner Charles Shaughnessy (“Stanley,” “Days of our Lives”) and Hollywood legend, Academy Award® and Golden Globe winner Ernest Borgnine (“Marty”) in the World Premiere of “Love’s Christmas Journey,” a Hallmark Channel Original Movie Event, Saturday, November 5 (8p.m. ET/PT, 7C). Inspired by Janette Oke’s award winning Love Comes Softly book series, the four-hour, star-studded movie event is an inspiring tale of love, trust and miracles.

While still mourning the loss of her husband and daughter, recently widowed Ellie King (Hall) visits her brother Aaron Davis (Vaughan) and his children for Christmas. Ellie does her best to enjoy the holidays, even making new friends with Mrs. Thompson (Williams), a local shop keeper and handsome admirer Deputy Strode (Dylan Bruce, “The Bay,” “As the World Turns”). Settling in nicely with her brother’s family, Ellie also meets Erik (Bobby Campo, “The Final Destination”), a young man abandoned by his outlaw father whom Aaron has taken in as one of his own. Ellie agrees to watch her niece and nephew when Aaron travels out of town to purchase adjacent land for farming.

Weaver (Shaughnessy), a corrupt attorney, sees the Mayor (Astin) hide design plans for the town’s new railroad in his barn. Weaver sneaks in to steal the plans and inadvertently burns the barn down. Deputy Strode believes Erik to be the culprit, but Ellie believes Weaver is guilty and begins spying on him. Ellie breaks into Weaver’s office and discovers the missing railroad documents, but Weaver has followed Ellie and threatens her. Ellie is safe only because Deputy Strode has also had suspicions about Weaver and arrives in time to take the real perpetrator to jail. Ellie has more concerns than Erik. It’s been weeks since Aaron left to buy farmland and no one has heard from him. Ellie begins to fret. When all seems lost, Ellie receives a holiday miracle—her brother is delivered home safely on Christmas morning by a jovial man named Nicholas (Borgnine). Nicholas seems to have brought Christmas cheer to all as Ellie and Deputy Strode begin their romance in earnest.

“Love’s Christmas Journey” is a Mediapool Production in association with Larry Levinson Productions. Larry Levinson is executive producer and Lincoln Lageson is producer. David S. Cass, Sr. directed from a script written by George Tierney.

Christmas Magic

Network: Hallmark Channel

Original Air Date: December 18, 2011

CAST:

Lindy Booth ... Carrie Bishop
Derek McGrath ... Henry
Paul McGillion ... Scott Walker
Kieara Glasco ... Scott's Daughter

PLOT:

Carrie Bishop (Booth) lives for her successful career as an event planner in New York City, but her life changes in an instant after a nasty car accident in a snowstorm. Carrie suffers head trauma and regains consciousness in Central Park with an older man, Henry (McGrath). Henry is Carrie’s spirit guide and is there to help her “pass over” to Heaven. But before Carrie can move on, she must fulfill one last task on Earth—a type of Angel Duty. Henry tells Carrie that she must help guide a widowed, young restaurant owner, Scott Walker, (McGillion) who has recently considered suicide because his beloved restaurant/catering business is utterly failing. Carrie befriends Scott and his 8-year-old daughter (Glasco) and immediately displays a knack for promoting the restaurant. But time isn’t on Carrie’s side on this mission. She has until midnight Christmas Eve to turn the eatery around. As friendship grows, romance blooms, and Carrie finds it a struggle to keep business and pleasure separate. Will the heat in Scott’s kitchen be all about the food? Or is one Angel on a meteoric rise to earn her wings?
