Airs Tonight:

"ABC Family Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas" Begins November 20th, 2011!

I've just learned lots of exciting news from ABC Family...

First, as mentioned in the above title, the Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas on ABC FAMILY will begin November 20th, 2011! That's the Sunday before Thanksgiving!

There will be Two New Premiere Movies :
"Desperately Seeking Santa", premiering in November and
"12 Dates of Christmas" premiering in December!

(Will these new movies be Family-Friendly? We don't know, yet. Please always check ratings before viewing with your children!)

Also, with these 2 new Movies, there will be other Classic Favorite Movies (National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation", "Dr Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "The Santa Clause" and "The Polar Express", etc...) and our favorite Christmas Cartoons, as well!

The Christmas TV Schedule has been updated with the New ABC Family Countdown to Christmas Movies from November 20th - November 30th.

PLOT:

This romantic comedy follows a young woman who re-lives the same first date on Christmas Eve over and over again. Will she be able to put her past behind and finally get the romantic Christmas she longs for or will she ruin her chances of love for good?

In "12 Dates of Christmas," Smart plays Kate, a young woman infatuated with Christmas and all the magic that surrounds it and is determined to find love. In an attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend on Christmas Eve, Kate ends up ruining her blind date with Miles (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), a handsome guy her stepmother set her up with. In an odd twist of fate, Kate is given the chance to relive Christmas Eve over again – in fact twelve times - in order to not miss out on an opportunity she has always dreamed of - true love!

After understanding that a reconciliation with her ex is not in the cards, Kate decides to embrace what Christmas Eve has given her - a loving family, great friends and the prospect of a new love interest in Miles. However, right as Kate seems to think she has gotten it right, the clock strikes midnight and she unwillingly has to relive Christmas Eve once again. Although Kate appears to be distraught, she quickly understands she can do anything without consequences because by midnight all will be erased. With this newfound excitement for life Kate goes on a shopping spree, gets a tattoo and alters her appearance drastically finally enjoying the gift she has been given. In addition to improving herself, Kate starts to help others and decides to make this Christmas Eve what she wants it to be. By letting go of her controlling ways and fear of being alone, Kate not only helps others find their happiness, but finds her own by finally trusting fate.

PLOT:

“Desperately Seeking Santa” follows Jennifer Walker (Vandervoort), an ambitious young marketing executive for the South Boston mall. With her eye on a promotion to vice president and a spot at corporate headquarters, Jennifer dreams up a plan to increase sales: a search for the hottest Santa in town. Teenage girls and their moms, even the local news anchor, flock to the mall to catch a glimpse of the handsome competitors. Before the contest even starts, Jennifer clashes with one of the contestants, David Moretti (Zano), an attractive South Boston native looking to win the $10,000 prize in a last ditch effort to save his family restaurant. David easily wins over the crowd with his good looks, sincere attitude and humble nature, and when the gorgeous winner of the contest becomes a local hero, sales at the mall go through the roof. Jennifer had counted on this new Santa to get her a promotion – not win her heart, complicate her life and question everything she ever wanted.
