Third International Conference held at Southeast University

Southeast University and the Global Business & Management Forum jointly organised the Third GBMF International Conference, entitled Business Competencies in a Changing Global Environment, successfully hosted on December 23, 2010, at the Seminar Hall of the Southeast University campus.


 
 Mr. Dilip Barua, honourable Minister of Industries of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, attended the occasion as Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Acting Vice Chancellor of Southeast University, chaired the conference. The keynote speech was presented by Mr. Mamun Rashid, Managing Director of Citibank, N. A.; Prof. Ziaul Haque, President of GBMF USA; Wg Cdr Tabarak Hossain Bhuiyan, Senior Vice President and Head of HR, Prime Bank Ltd; and Prof. Dr. Syed Masud Husain, Dean, School of Business Studies, Southeast University spoke on the occasion. Vice Chancellors from different universities chaired the various sessions of the daylong conference, which was attended by local and foreign guests and participants.

Chief Guest, Mr. Dilip Barua, Minister of Industries, commended the exemplary efforts of Southeast University as a private university and advised all university teachers to complement their teaching with research.

The Conference Chair, Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, delivered a welcome speech, thanking the participants and guests and expressed his pride in the accomplishment of Southeast University in hosting a conference of this stature, which will aid in achieving the goal to provide quality education in Bangladesh.

GBMF President Prof. Ziaul Haque appreciated the role of Southeast University in facilitating the advancement of education and research and in enhancing the acceptability of private universities internationally.
